Tour Reviews
The secret Tokyo tour was such a refreshing experience. Apy brought me to explore charming Kagurazaka with its lovely bakery and hidden coffee spot, witnessed the daily goma fire ritual in Monzen-Nakacho, and visited Tsukishima’s Monja Street where I had one of the best melon pans ever. It felt curated, authentic and far from the usual tourist route. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely go back to Monja street for dinner one day :)
It was great! Though I live here, I was able to see an area that I haven’t explored much of. Elena provided such a great tour, as someone who’s lived in the area for many areas. She was able to tell me the history and concept behind certain stores and culture of Koenji!
Didn’t take this tour
I got shown around like a local and saw a different side to Tokyo than the one all over social media. I learned about all the spots where the Japanese salarymen eat their lunch and I have to say, they have great taste. It was cool to not only see the sights, but also get some background on them from the guide.
Rose led two outstanding tours that exceeded every expectation. Her knowledge of the area and local culture was truly next level. The experience never felt scripted or generic. It was clearly tailor made to me and my interests. It felt less like a formal tour and more like spending the day with a knowledgeable local friend. She shared insights and context you simply would not get on a standard tour, making every stop meaningful and engaging. Both tours were memorable specifically because of Rose, not just the locations. I cannot recommend these tours or Rose highly enough.
