I joined a walking tour around Yanaka-Ginza and Nezu Shrine, and it was such an eye-opening experience
. The guide didnât just cover the famous spotsâyou also get to hear fascinating stories and details that even
many Japanese people donât know. Learning about the background of small shrines and long-standing shops
really gave me a new perspective on the neighborhood.
The tour felt very personal and interactive, more like exploring with a knowledgeable local friend rather than just
following a guidebook route. If you want to discover a deeper side of Tokyo and understand the unique culture of
the Yanesen area, I can definitely recommend this tour!

Not only did she customize the tour to a favorite anime of my daughter, she pulled up photos of the anime to match with the scene as we traveled. 100% would do this again.
