Jake was extremely personable and had so much knowledge of the area and all the shrines somewhat off the beaten track that were cool and quiet! He had so much energy and was so easy to get on with, 3 hours flew by! Definitely book a tour with him if you're in Kyoto!

Screw 5 stars I rate Jake 6 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Jake was one-of-a-kind! My first tour I ever took in Japan and it was so much fun! Even though I was late coming for the tour it wasn't a bother for him (I really appreciate that as I screwed up coming from Tokyo). Jake understands the language and culture very well. Whether you want to tour the busy areas or the less busy ones - he knows the best route. I don't have enough good things to say about Jake. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again (or call him up for a beer 🍻). Don't make a mistake, go with Jake!
