Explore Artisan Market StreetsWalk the length of Kappabashi, the street that has supplied Tokyo's restaurants for over a hundred years. Your Local Expert points out what is worth looking at and fills in the stories behind the shops, the tools, and the craft that keeps the whole industry running.
Craft Realistic Food Models take home as a souvenirAt the workshop, make your own Japanese food sample using the same materials and methods the professionals use. Your Local Expert is with you throughout. No Japanese required. Just follow along and see what you can make.
Street Food or a Local CafeAfter the workshop, head toward Asakusa.Your Local Expert will offer two options for how to spend the next stretch. Pick up something from one of the street food stalls and eat as you walk, or settle into a local cafe that has been part of the neighborhood for years. Either way, you’ll find something worth stopping for.
Wander the Backstreets to FinishYour Local Expert takes you through one last stretch before the tour wraps up, from Sensoji toward Kuramae, through the kind of streets that make this part of Tokyo worth spending time in. A good way to finish before you head off on your own.
